QUENTIN JORQUERA

I’m an experienced Director of Photography with credits on a wide variety of short films, commercials & music videos:

• I was born in France, to a family of Spaniards, Italians and gypsies

• I grew up in the South Pacific - between New Caledonia and Vanuatu

• I trained in Paris, through both a classical artistic education & film school

• I’m currently operating between the UK & France

My pathway through the film industry has been one of research, curiosity and learning - from France to Cambodia and New Orleans to London.

En route to embracing cinematography, I’ve worked and trained as an actor, a film critic, a producer, a creative director, a virtual production expert, a rigging electrician and a gaffer.

I’ve worked on productions with budgets ranging from zero right through to several million dollars. 

My cinematography has its roots in my uprooted culture. Using diverse references and life-experiences to inspire my work, I have a deep, emotional and sensory relationship with light, atmosphere and tone. I use intelligent, artistic lighting & framing to enhance powerful storytelling.

I value good and harmonious communication, both in prep and on set, and am driven to exploring the best and most cost-effective creative solutions for every project I’m privileged to work on.
